Description
This application is submitted through an online portal and requires careful completion of all required fields and uploads. Choosing a school: List your first-choice school on the application; you may change your college selection any time before the application period ends. If selected, you will be asked to confirm your final school choice.
Recommendation timing: Request your recommendation as early as possible so the recommender has sufficient time to submit it; you do not need to complete every other portion of the application before requesting a recommendation.

Supporting Materials and Recommender Instructions
Applicants must submit specific supporting documents as part of the application package and should coordinate with recommenders to ensure timely completion. Instructions for recommenders: Recommenders will receive an email from the Kaleidoscope portal; if they cannot locate it, follow the steps below to access the request and submit the recommendation.
- Navigate to apply.mykaleidoscope.com/login.
- Use the email address provided by the applicant to log in; an account has already been created using that address.
- Click the password reset button on the login page to set up or reset your password.
- Log in with the "Contributor" role and select the student’s name on your dashboard.
- Complete the form and choose "Submit" to finalize the recommendation.
- Prepare and upload required documents well before the deadline.
- Provide recommenders with clear notice and the portal login instructions.
- U.S. and Canadian applicants have different income-document requirements.
Qualifications
Applicants must meet all stated eligibility criteria to be considered for the scholarship. Applicants must meet all of the following criteria to be eligible for this scholarship:
- Be a high school senior attending school and living in a Simon community, planning to graduate by Spring 2027.
- Be a legal U.S. or Canadian resident.
- Plan to enroll full-time in an accredited two- or four-year college, university, vocational training center, or polytechnic/trade school for the Fall 2027 semester.
- Demonstrate academic promise and financial need.
- Eligibility requires meeting every listed criterion.
- Intended full-time enrollment in Fall 2027 is mandatory.
- Both academic potential and financial need are evaluated.
