Derek Jeter Scholarship

Introduction
Founded by Turn 2 in 1997, the Derek Jeter Scholarship — part of the Turn 2 Education Fund — awards financial support to graduating high school seniors who show leadership in their communities and actively promote abstaining from drugs and alcohol. Applicants should note that extra application materials are required.
Scholarship overview
- Enrollment status: Full-time study required
- Eligible programs: Associate’s degree (2-year) or Bachelor’s degree (4-year)
- Intended recipients: Graduating high school seniors
Eligibility requirements
Applicants must meet all of the following:
- Be a resident of Kalamazoo County or be graduating from a high school located in Kalamazoo County
- Hold a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
- Demonstrate financial need
- Achieve at least a 1060 on the SAT or a 21 on the ACT
- Exhibit leadership and active participation in school and community activities that promote a substance-free lifestyle
