Ruby A. Brown Memorial Scholarship

Purpose and background Created in 2003 by Mr. Carroll Brown, the Ruby A. Brown Memorial Scholarship commemorates his wife and her 25 years of service as a public health nurse. Award amount One-time scholarship of $3,500. Who may apply This scholarship is available to adult students pursuing nursing studies. Preference is given to applicants who have worked as, or intend to work as, public health nurses serving their communities. There is no minimum GPA required to submit an application; however, applicants must demonstrate financial need and reside in one of the following Tennessee counties: Anderson, Blount, Campbell, Claiborne, Cocke, Grainger, Hamblen, Jefferson, Loudon, Monroe, Morgan, Roane, Scott, Sevier, or Union. Previous recipients are eligible to apply again each year.
