Overview
Congratulations on achieving the rank of Eagle Scout. The skills, leadership, and character developed through Scouting provide a strong foundation for continued academic and personal growth. The National Eagle Scout Association (NESA) offers scholarships to help Eagle Scouts pursue postsecondary education and skilled trade programs. These awards are intended to support recipients as they transition from Scouting to higher education and career development.
Description: NESA scholarships provide financial support to eligible Eagle Scouts to further their education at accredited institutions or in skilled trade programs.

Eligibility
Applicants must be Eagle Scouts and members of the National Eagle Scout Association (NESA). Candidates may apply beginning in their senior year of high school through their junior year of an undergraduate program, or by the halfway point of an associate degree or skilled trade program. Scholarships are awarded one time only and require full-time enrollment (at least 12 credit hours) in an accredited educational institution or a qualified skilled trade program. Specific awards, such as the Cooke four-year scholarship, have additional enrollment requirements; NESA scholarships do not apply to U.S. military academy attendees or graduate students pursuing master’s or doctoral degrees.
Eligibility: Membership in NESA, timing and enrollment requirements, and the one-time-only award rule are the core eligibility criteria.
- Must be an Eagle Scout and a current member of NESA.
- Application window: senior year of high school through junior year of undergraduate study, or halfway through an associate or skilled trade program.
- Awarded only once per recipient.
- Recipients must be enrolled full time (minimum 12 credit hours) in an accredited degree or qualified skilled trade program.
- Cooke four-year scholarship recipients must be enrolled full time in a four-year bachelor’s program.
- Not available to students at U.S. military academies or to graduate students (master’s or doctoral programs).
