At P.L.A.Y., we have always been committed to advocating for animal welfare in both our personal and professional endeavors. Our efforts range from collaborating with local animal shelters to donating our products to animals in need through our Warm Bellies Initiative in partnership with the Petfinder Foundation. Animal welfare is a fundamental aspect of our business.
We recognize that there are numerous young individuals who share our passion for aiding animals in need. To support and promote this cause, P.L.A.Y. is proud to announce our seventh annual scholarship of $1,500, which will be awarded to a graduating high school senior (2023-2024) who best embodies our core values.
Details of the Application
No purchase is required to participate. The contest is void where prohibited by law.
The Competition
Starting from 09/01/2023, P.L.A.Y. will publicize the opportunity to submit entries for the Scholars Helping Collars Scholarship through both online and print media.
Awards:
1st Prize - A Scholarship worth $1,500
2nd Prize - $300 and a set of 10 Warm Bellies Special Edition Chill Pads to be donated to an animal shelter of your choice
3rd Prize - $200 and a set of 5 Garden Fresh plush toys to be donated to the animal shelter of your choice
Prizes will only be shipped to animal shelters within the 48 contiguous states of the U.S.
Eligibility Criteria
The competition is open to U.S. residents. No purchase is required to enter. Participants must be full-time high school seniors. Each participant is allowed only one entry. Immediate family members of P.L.A.Y. employees are not eligible to participate. All essay submissions must be received by 11:59 PM PT on Monday, February 26, 2024.
Entry Procedure
Fill out the online application form
Students are required to submit an essay detailing their volunteer work to assist animals in need, explaining how this involvement has impacted their lives and community or influenced their views on the significance of animal welfare by February 26, 2024. Photos must be included with the essay submission.
While we appreciate your enthusiasm for pet adoption and fostering, our scholarship emphasizes a different aspect of your commitment to animal welfare. To understand what we're looking for, you can read the essays of our previous scholarship winners online.
- The essay should be between 500-1000 words.
- Upload a Word document attachment to (link will be provided once the application process begins) with your essay submission.
- The file name should be your full name, state, and date of birth. For example, Chipper-Jones-GA-4-24-2003
- Submit 2-3 photos of your volunteer efforts to assist animals in need
- You will also need to provide your full name, date of birth, email address, postal address, the high school you are currently attending, and a contact phone number.
