Overview The NCJW|LA Scholarship program accepts applications twice annually — in the Spring and in the Fall. Award funds are disbursed during the recipient’s subsequent academic term and are paid directly to the recipient’s educational institution. Eligibility - Residency and enrollment: Applicants must both reside and attend school within the Greater Los Angeles region — Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, or Ventura Counties. (The UNLV-specific scholarships are excluded from this geographic requirement.) - Academic status: You must be currently enrolled or already admitted to an eligible educational institution to submit an application. - Minimum coursework completed: Students who are finishing their degree in the current term are not eligible. Applicants must have completed at least one full semester or one full quarter of college-level coursework. Application rules - Cycle and limits: You may submit applications during each Spring and Fall cycle. Up to two (2) scholarship applications may be submitted per cycle. Applicants may reapply in subsequent years. - Online submission only: Applications must be completed and submitted through the online portal; partially completed or paper submissions will not be accepted. The online form can be saved and resumed on a computer or mobile device. Required documents (must be included with the application) - Personal statement essay - Unofficial current and complete academic transcripts - Verification of current term enrollment from your school - Financial documentation: FAFSA Student Aid Report (SAR) or CA Dream Act submission for students who qualify - Individual proof of cost of attendance (itemized evidence of tuition/fees or other costs) Additional requirement - Applicants must also satisfy any eligibility criteria specific to the particular scholarship for which they apply.
