Stephen W. Cavanaugh Scholarship

In January 2007, the Louisiana Workers’ Compensation Corporation (LWCC) established a scholarship in honor of the late Mr. Stephen W. Cavanaugh. Mr. Cavanaugh, who served as the President and CEO of LWCC until 2006, was a remarkable leader who left a significant impact on Louisiana's insurance industry. His successor, Kristin W. Wall, has held the position of President and CEO since Mr. Cavanaugh's departure.
QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants must be full-time students studying in an insurance-related field at an accredited university, college, or community college in Louisiana.
SCHOLARSHIP DETAILS
The scholarship is a four-year award, disbursed as $1,000 per semester for eight consecutive semesters, totaling $8,000.

- Letter of recommendation
- An essay of 250 to 500 words detailing the applicant's motivation to pursue a career in the insurance industry
