Chuck Hall Star Of Tomorrow Scholarship

Scholarship Sponsored by United States Bowling Congress

Value: $6,000
Awards Available: 1

CHUCK HALL spent most of his adult life helping young people through his long-time association with junior bowling. He joined the American Junior Bowling Congress in 1959 as a field representative and quickly advanced to director of field services in 1961 and then executive director in 1962 to lead the organization's day-to-day operations. AJBC merged with the Youth Bowling Association in 1982 to form the Young American Bowling Alliance, and Hall served as YABA's executive director until his retirement in 1985. During his years with AJBC and YABA, he found many opportunities to promote youth bowling and was involved in the formation and development of what is now known as the Youth Leaders program.

When the American Bowling Congress launched its male Star of Tomorrow scholarship competition in 1980, the award became known as the Chuck Hall Star of Tomorrow.

This award annually recognizes star qualities in a male high school senior or college student who competes in the sport of bowling. Candidate must be a Non-Professional USBC member in good standing and not reached their 20th birthday prior to Aug. 1.
