Bureau County FB Scholarships
Scholarship Sponsored by Bureau County Farm Bureau
The Bureau County Farm Bureau Foundation is delighted to announce its scholarship program for local students pursuing a degree in agriculture. Over the past two decades and three years, the Foundation has generously awarded $84,250 to deserving college students. In the previous year alone, the Foundation allocated $8,250 to students in the area.
This year, the Foundation continues to offer a scholarship for graduate students, aimed at supporting Bureau County students who wish to advance their education in the field of agriculture. The application process for this scholarship mirrors that of the general scholarship.
Beyond the scholarship initiative, the Foundation also provides support to local educators with agricultural programs in their classrooms. This includes funding for a Summer Ag Institute for teachers. The Summer Ag Institute is designed to educate teachers about agriculture and provide them with strategies to integrate agricultural concepts into their classroom curriculum.
Eligibility for these scholarships requires that students either be a member of the Bureau County Farm Bureau or a dependent of a member. Additionally, they must be pursuing a degree in a field related to agriculture.
Applications can be obtained through several avenues. These include the links provided below, school guidance counselors within Bureau County, the Ag advisor at the school, advisors at state colleges and universities, or directly from the Bureau County Farm Bureau office. The Farm Bureau office can also provide applications via email upon request.
