Introductory summary
Applicants who will be enrolled full time in post–high school studies for the upcoming fall semester and who, through their career goals, experience, chosen program and extracurricular involvement, can demonstrate clear commitment and substantial progress toward a career in agriculture, forestry, commercial fishing or a closely related field are invited to apply.
Eligible programs
Post–high school education includes attendance at technical schools as well as pursuit of an associate, bachelor’s or graduate degree.
Eligibility details
- Applicants must have a permanent home address within the eight-state Farm Credit East service area: Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island or Vermont.
- Candidates must intend to begin or continue full-time post–high school education in the upcoming fall semester.
- An individual may receive this scholarship only once.
Use of funds and award distribution
- Scholarship proceeds may be applied toward tuition, room and board, textbooks and other academic charges.
- The award is merit-based. Payment will be issued directly to the student in June.
- Before the check will be released, the recipient must submit hard‑copy proof of college enrollment and a photograph suitable for publicity.
