Overview ScholarSHPE awards financial support to Hispanic students and professionals at multiple stages of their STEM journeys. Eligible recipients include: - Graduating high school seniors who will begin a STEM undergraduate program at a community college or a four-year university. - Undergraduate students in any year of a STEM degree program, provided they are enrolled full-time at a community college or four-year university. - Individuals (students or working professionals) pursuing technical certificates or graduate-level professional education that enhance technical skills through approved institutions. - Graduate students enrolled in master’s or doctoral STEM programs at accredited universities. Scholarship Cycles - Spring Cycle: opens in February and provides funding for the upcoming fall semester. - Fall Cycle: opens in September and provides funding for the upcoming spring semester. Early Bird Raffle If you submit your scholarship application during the first two weeks after the application window opens, you will be entered automatically into a raffle for a complimentary National Convention registration. How to Apply for 2025–2026 The next application period begins on February 14, 2025, for scholarships that fund the fall 2025 semester. Step 1 — Review Available Scholarships Browse the listed scholarship opportunities before applying. Step 2 — Complete the ScholarSHPE Common Application All applicants must fill out the ScholarSHPE Common Application. This single application enables you to apply to multiple scholarships without reentering information for each one. Check the scholarship webpage weekly during the open application period for updates; once your Common Application is created, you will be alerted when new scholarships become available. Minimum Scholarship Requirements All applicants must meet these baseline criteria: - Active SHPE membership (to become an active member, please click here!) - Minimum cumulative GPA: 2.5 (as shown on the transcript from your most recent academic institution) - Intention to pursue a STEM degree - Plan to enroll at an accredited two- or four-year college or university in the United States for the 2024–2025 academic year* Notes - Some sponsored scholarships include extra eligibility criteria or specifications; any additional requirements will be posted on the ScholarSHPE application page. - *“United States” includes all U.S. territories.
