There are numerous scholarships accessible to current and former 4-H members. Young people have the opportunity to apply for multiple scholarships using a single application form. They simply need to mark the box on the first page of the form next to the scholarships they are interested in.

However, if a student has previously been awarded a particular scholarship, they are no longer eligible to apply for that same scholarship again.

For those who have previously applied for a North Dakota 4-H scholarship, it is necessary to submit a fresh application and narrative each year.

North Dakota 4-H Foundation Scholarships Eligibility Criteria

Applicants for the scholarship must meet the following criteria:

  • They must be a high school senior accepted at an accredited post-secondary institution or currently enrolled as an undergraduate at such an institution
  • They must be 21 years old or younger as of September 1 of the current 4-H year
  • They must be a current or former member of North Dakota 4-H
  • They must have been a member of North Dakota 4-H for at least one year at the time of application

Some scholarships may have additional specific eligibility or selection criteria.

Requirements for Scholarship

  • Applicants can apply for multiple scholarships using the online form.
  • If a scholarship has been awarded to an applicant in the past, they are no longer eligible for that particular scholarship.
  • Applicants who have previously applied for a North Dakota 4-H scholarship must submit a new application each year.
  • If an applicant is still in high school but also enrolled in college courses, they should complete both sections of the online form.

Steps to Complete the Online Form

  • Obtain two recommendation letters from adults you have interacted with. These should be saved as PDFs for uploading.
  • Save your most recent high school and/or college transcripts as PDFs for uploading.
  • Prepare answers to the questions provided and save them as a PDF for uploading to the online form. Ensure your responses to all four sections do not exceed three pages in total.
