39th Annual College Video Contest — Overview

The 39th Annual College Video Contest invites college students to create short videos that interpret the theme "One Person Can Make a Difference." Submissions should be creative and dynamic rather than static, and entries must not exceed five minutes in length. The contest emphasizes original work and thoughtful storytelling that demonstrates how an individual can effect positive change.

Submission Requirements and Eligibility

All entries must be accompanied by a completed and signed online entry form; unsigned or incomplete forms will disqualify the submission. Entrants must secure and be able to provide written documentation for all rights and permissions for music, images, clips, or any non-original content; failure to provide documentation results in disqualification. The contest prohibits use of any AI program in the creation of posters or videos; entries found to use AI will be ineligible for prizes. By submitting, contributors acknowledge that entries become the property of The Christophers and cannot be returned.

Eligibility: Entrants must follow submission, rights, and documentation requirements; U.S. winners or residents must provide a Social Security Number before receiving cash prizes over $600.

  • No AI-generated content permitted for prize eligibility.
  • Entries become the property of The Christophers and are non-returnable.

Awards and Prizes

The contest awards cash prizes to winning entries, with judges' decisions final and discretionary. Prizes include tiered cash awards for first, second, and third place, plus multiple honorable mentions. The organizers reserve the right not to award all prizes in any given year.

  • Second Prize — $1,000
  • Third Prize — $500
  • Up to five Honorable Mentions — $100 each
  • Judges’ decisions are final and prizes may not all be awarded.
  • U.S. winners may be required to provide tax information for prizes over $600.
