RMCCF College Scholarship
Scholarship Sponsored by Riverside Medical Clinic Charitable Foundation
Overview This scholarship fund recognizes and assists graduating juniors and seniors from Riverside County high schools who plan to pursue any health-care-related career in the Inland Southern California region. The Riverside Medical & Community Care Foundation (RMCCF) will distribute awards in the spring.
Award details
- RMCCF will award up to ten (10) scholarships of $500 each.
- Applicants may receive this scholarship only once.
Permitted uses of the award Scholarship proceeds may be applied toward college application fees, educational supplies, or other expenses directly related to pursuing the recipient’s chosen health-care field.
Examples of eligible health-care careers (not exhaustive) Physician; Physician Assistant; Nurse; Pharmacist; Physical Therapist; Physical Therapist Assistant; Occupational Therapist; Occupational Therapy Assistant; Chiropractor; Biochemist; Biomedical Scientist; Exercise Physiologist; Strength & Conditioning Coach; Personal Trainer; Physical Education Teacher; Recreation Director; Athletic Administrator; Coach; Compliance Coordinator/Officer; Health Educator; Public Health Specialist; Food Scientist; Registered Dietitian Nutritionist; Radiology Technologist; Athletic Trainer; Speech-Language Pathologist; Speech-Language Assistant; Emergency Medical Technician; Firefighter; Respiratory Therapist; Nuclear Medicine Technologist; Epidemiologist; Histology Technician; etc.
Eligibility
- Must reside in Riverside County and be enrolled in a Riverside County high school.
- Must be a graduating junior or senior planning to enroll in, or applying to, a health-care degree program in Southern California.
Application requirements
- Two (2) essays, each with a minimum of 500 words. (See Essay Prompt #1 Rubric and Essay Prompt #2 Rubric.)
- Two (2) recommendation forms. (Downloadable forms are provided for referees.)
- Weighted GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Current unofficial high school transcripts.
