About the Foundation The CAC Educational Scholarship Foundation (CACESF) was established in 2005 by the California Association of Collectors. Who is eligible The scholarship competition is available to students who are currently juniors or seniors at a California high school and who plan to enroll in an accredited public or private college, university, or vocational/trade school within 12 months of their graduation. Essay topic Applicants must submit an original essay addressing the following prompt: Explain the importance of building and preserving good financial credit while you are in college. Formatting and submission requirements - Essays must be typed, using 12-point font and double spacing. - Length must be between 700 and 1,000 words. - Place the essay’s word count at the top of the document. - Do not include any personal identifying information on any page of the essay.
