Columbine Memorial Scholarship

Introduction
The Columbine Memorial Scholarship provides support to motivated students from the Jefferson County School District who have demonstrated a positive influence within their school and/or the wider community.
Eligibility
- Must be a graduating student from a public high school within the Jefferson County School District.
- Cumulative unweighted GPA of 2.5 or higher.
- Intend to enroll in classes at an accredited U.S. university, college, community college, or technical school for the upcoming fall semester.
How recipients are chosen
Applications are evaluated using the following factors:
- Essay responses
- Recommendation(s)
- Involvement in extracurricular activities and evidence of leadership
- Academic record
- Financial need
Award information
- Award amount: $3,500 (one-time scholarship)
- Typical number of recipients: 12 total; at least two recipients must be graduates of Columbine High School.
- Funds may be applied to tuition, fees, books, room and board, and other cost-of-attendance expenses.
- Scholarship payments are issued directly to the recipient’s post-secondary institution. Disbursement is subject to the receiving school’s outside scholarship policies.
- The award must be used for the upcoming academic year.
Application instructions
1. Confirm you meet the eligibility requirements listed above.
2. Sign in to the TDF Scholarship Manager and submit an application to the Universal Scholarship 2026.
3. Provide the following materials:
- A comprehensive list of extracurricular activities, volunteer work, and paid or unpaid employment.
- Official or school transcript.
- Email contact for one recommender (one academic or community reference).
- Written responses to both prompts (each response up to 5,000 characters, approximately 800 words):
a) Describe where and how you demonstrate leadership in your daily life and activities.
b) State what you plan to study (or are currently studying at the college level), what inspired your interest, and what you hope to accomplish with a degree in that field. Be sure to address every part of this prompt.
Make sure all materials are complete before submitting through the TDF Scholarship Manager.
