Overview
Description: The Flinn Scholarship is a merit-based undergraduate award that provides a comprehensive package of support for students attending one of Arizona’s public universities. Recipients gain opportunities to travel abroad, conduct research, pursue creative projects, and participate in internships and community service while exploring academic flexibility across majors. The program also emphasizes a collaborative and driven peer community to support scholars throughout their college experience. Components of the Application
Description: The application collects biographical and academic information, essays, recommendations, and supporting documents submitted through both the student and their high-school counselor. Required materials include two essays, one short-answer response, an academic (teacher) recommendation, a leadership/service recommendation, and a counselor-submitted transcript and school profile. Applicants must also self-report standardized test scores when applicable. The application is structured to present a holistic view of each candidate’s achievements and contributions.

Eligibility and Evaluation
