Award use and distribution
- KZCF scholarships are intended to cover items included in your school’s Cost of Attendance (COA). COA components vary by institution and commonly include tuition, fees, room and board, transportation, food, health insurance, and similar allowable expenses. Your school’s COA is available on its website or from the financial aid office.
- Scholarship funds are issued directly to the college or university. The Foundation will send one payment for the full academic year and request that the institution divide it evenly between fall and spring terms. If you prefer a different allocation (for example, a summer split or uneven semester distribution), you may indicate that preference on your acceptance form after receiving the award.
- This is a multiyear award that may be renewed annually for up to two additional years. The scholarship can be combined with other grants, scholarships, or financial resources, and no further action is required once the funds have been disbursed to your institution.
