Intro
Thanks to the generosity of donors committed to the success of Washtenaw County youth, AAACF distributed more than $550,000 in 2022 across 60 scholarship funds to support students pursuing post-secondary education nationwide.

One application covers every scholarship for which you qualify
You only need to complete a single application to be considered for all eligible scholarships listed below. Initial eligibility for each award is assessed during the first section of the application; full eligibility criteria are available in our eligibility details document.

Scholarship opportunities (award — eligibility)
- AAACF Community Scholarship Fund — up to $20,000 over up to 5 years
Eligibility: Graduating high school seniors or those who graduated within the past two years but have not enrolled in college; priority for economically disadvantaged students, youth of color, and/or first-generation college students.

- AWC Scholarship Fund for Women in Computing — $2,500
Eligibility: Female students pursuing studies in technology and/or computing.

- Cathy Allor Mathematics Scholarship Fund — $1,000
Eligibility: Female graduating seniors at Adrian High School with an interest in mathematics.

- Josee L. Alvarez Memorial Fund — $2,000
Eligibility: Graduating seniors at Chelsea High School.

- Ann Arbor Ad Club Scholarship Fund — $800
Eligibility: Washtenaw County residents studying advertising, communications, public relations, marketing, journalism, or related fields.

- Walter & Florence E. Aupperle Scholarship Fund — $5,000
Eligibility: Students studying German (major or minor) at the University of Michigan or Eastern Michigan University.

- Morse B. Barker Memorial Scholarship Fund — $4,000
Eligibility: Washtenaw County residents attending Washtenaw Community College OR graduating seniors from Ann Arbor Public Schools who plan to attend Washtenaw Community College.

- Bruce & Merlee Bartman Memorial Fund — $1,500
Eligibility: Graduating seniors at Community High School.

- Burt Black Memorial Fund — $1,000; $1,500; and $2,000 awards
Eligibility: Students with disabilities at Huron High School, Washtenaw Community College, and the University of Michigan.

- Gamma Rho Boule Education Fund — $1,000
Eligibility: African-American male high school seniors graduating from a public or private high school in Washtenaw County.

- Nathan Lyndell Hall Memorial Scholarship Fund — $500
Eligibility: Graduating seniors at Pioneer or Community High School, or alumni of Ypsilanti Junior Football and Cheerleading Association (YCJAA).

- Richard D. & Grace P. Leslie Scholarship Fund — $1,750
Eligibility: Washtenaw Community College students studying retail or business.

- Andrew J. Lum Scholar Athlete Award Fund — $1,000
Eligibility: Graduating seniors from the Huron High School varsity football team who demonstrate commitment to both athletics and academics.

- Beth Moffat Memorial Scholarship Fund — $5,000
Eligibility: Female student-athletes graduating from Hartland High School.

- NuStep Scholarship Fund — $1,500
Eligibility: Children, step-children, or grandchildren of NuStep employees.

- Josephine C. Otto Memorial Scholarship Fund — $1,000–$3,000
Eligibility: Members of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Dexter.

- Pipe Dream Fund — $5,000
Eligibility: Students attending the University of Michigan or Eastern Michigan University who are Polish nationals on a valid visa OR have parents from Poland.

- Silver Maples Employee Educational Fund — $3,000
Eligibility: Full- or part-time employees of Silver Maples of Chelsea.

- Silver Legacy Scholarship Fund — $3,500
Eligibility: Full- or part-time students who have worked as wait staff at Silver Maples of Chelsea for at least six months.

- Linda Grasselli Sprankle Scholarship Fund — $26,000 over 4 years
Eligibility: African-American or Latino/Hispanic students and/or students who will be the first in their family to attend college.

- James K. Stringwell Scholarship Fund — $1,000
Eligibility: Need-based award for students graduating from Washtenaw County public high schools who will attend a public college or university in Michigan.

- Rachael Townsend Memorial Scholarship Fund — $1,500
Eligibility: Women majoring in a program within the University of Michigan School of Kinesiology OR senior female student-athletes at Saline High School.

- Trigon Scholarship Fund — $1,000
Eligibility: Male undergraduate students at the University of Michigan.

- Butch Warren Memorial Scholarship Fund — $2,000
Eligibility: Graduating seniors at Pioneer High School OR children of former D&C employees attending a Michigan public university, college, or technical school full time.

- Welcome Home Scholarship Fund — $5,000
Eligibility: Men and women who have returned from active duty in Operation Enduring Freedom/Operation Iraqi Freedom and were honorably discharged within the past three years.

- Richard Weldon Memorial Scholarship Fund — $500
Eligibility: Graduating seniors from Pioneer High School who have lettered in athletics, theater, or music and who held paid employment for at least 12 consecutive months while in high school.
