Richard D Prestage Memorial Scholarship

Purpose
This scholarship supports individuals who live or work in Gratiot County and are advancing their education in nursing.
Background
Dick Prestage was a devoted husband and father and a prominent local businessman. A certified public accountant, he co-founded the Alma firm Roslund Prestage & Co. He served on many community boards and, until his passing in 2003, owned and managed Schnepp’s Healthcare Center in St. Louis. To commemorate his commitment to high-quality nursing care, his family established this scholarship to help nurses continue their education and to keep his memory alive through those who benefit.
Number and Amount of Awards
- Up to two scholarships awarded
- Each award may be for as much as $1,500
Eligibility
- Must live in or be employed in Gratiot County
- Must be pursuing education in the field of nursing (including continuing education)
- Previous recipients are eligible to apply again
