Overview
- The Kalamazoo Science Foundation Scholarship was created in 1958 to support promising students from the Kalamazoo area who otherwise may be unable to pursue higher education in science, mathematics, or engineering. The award helps recipients develop their academic potential in those fields.
Who may apply
- Graduating high school seniors who attend a Kalamazoo County high school
- Current undergraduate students
Eligibility requirements
- Must be a Kalamazoo County resident
- Planning to major in science, mathematics, or engineering
- Enrolled or planning to enroll full time at a college or university
- GPA minimums: high school seniors — 3.5; current college undergraduates — 3.0
- Demonstrated financial need is required
Award details
- Amount: $2,000 to $3,000
- Renewable: yes — renewable for up to three additional years (subject to renewal criteria and continued eligibility)
