Russell A. and Sophia Jean Hall Scholarship
Scholarship Sponsored by Columbus Foundation
The Russell A. and Sophia Jean Hall Scholarship was created in 2003 by Russell and Sophia Jean Hall, graduates of Ohio State University. Grateful for their own educational opportunities, they established this fund to "pay it forward" by helping financially vulnerable students access postsecondary education. The Halls believed in supporting all pathways to careers and learning, so the scholarship is intended for students pursuing credentials at state-supported colleges, universities, vocational, or technical schools within Ohio. Eligibility - Must attend, or plan to attend, a state-supported college, university, vocational, or technical institution in Ohio as a full-time student. - Must be a graduating senior from, or a graduate of, a Franklin County high school. - High school seniors applying must have a cumulative GPA between 2.75 and 3.50 on a 4.0 scale. - Applicants who are already college students or graduates must hold at least a 2.5 GPA at the university level.
