The personal injury attorneys at Nussbaum Law Group are experienced in handling pedestrian accident cases. At a time when drivers face distractions while on the road, it is increasingly important for pedestrians to be aware of their surroundings. When a pedestrian is involved in an accident on or near the road, the results are often devastating.
The purpose of The Safe Pedestrians Scholarship is to bring awareness to incidents involving pedestrians and allow students to express their opinions and ideas on what can be done to improve the safety and the relationship between cars and walking individuals. In a 750 word essay, discuss the measures you believe the government should take to prevent pedestrian accidents and improve safety. What can be done to ensure safe roadways for all, specifically for pedestrians?
Scholarship Eligibility
In order to be considered eligible to apply for The Safe Pedestrian Scholarship, students must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate, graduate, or law program within the United States. High school seniors who will be enrolled in college the following semester are also eligible to apply. All applicants must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
Scholarship Award
The scholarship winner will be awarded $1,000 to be used towards their education.
Scholarship Application
A complete scholarship application must include the following:
A) A current academic transcript, official or unofficial
B) An up-to-date resume
C) A 750 word personal essay discussing your opinion on the government's role for protecting pedestrians from accidents and the measures that can be taken to prevent pedestrian accidents and improve safety.
