How to apply — the basics
You’ll need:
1. Your full name and contact details
2. Your Meijer EMPLID (or your parent’s EMPLID if you are applying as their dependent)
3. The school you plan to attend and a brief explanation of why you chose that program
Selection process
Final award decisions rest with the Grand Rapids Community Foundation’s Board of Trustees, who review recommendations from an advisory committee. Meijer employees and officials do not take part in the selection. The Foundation evaluates applicants based on academic or technical accomplishments, financial need, special circumstances, and involvement in school and community activities. Awards are distributed without regard to race, creed, color, sex, religion, or national origin.
