Dam Safety Scholarship Program
Scholarship Sponsored by Association of State Dam Safety Officials
A minimum of one scholarship will be granted, with a potential total of $20,000 in scholarship funds up for grabs. In addition to the scholarship money, a travel allowance to the ASDSO Annual Conference may also be provided. To be considered, applicants must be U.S. citizens or legal permanent residents who are full-time students at the senior level for the 2024/2025 academic year.
Applicants must be registered in an accredited civil engineering program or a related field as recognized by ASDSO. They should exhibit a keen interest in pursuing a career in the fields of hydraulics, hydrology, geotechnical disciplines, or any other discipline associated with dam design, construction, and operation. Undergraduate students who are set to graduate in May/December 2025 are eligible to apply for the 2024 scholarship.
The award will be based on Academic Scholarship, Financial Need, Work Experience, Activities, and Essay.
A fully completed application form, three recommendation letters, an essay, and an official transcript are required for a complete application.
