Guidelines & Qualifications
Students must be enrolled in a college or university during the 2024-2025 academic year. Current high school students are not eligible.
Scholarship funds awarded will apply to the 2025-2026 academic year only. Payments will be made to your academic institution no later than June 30, 2025. Scholarships provided by ACEC State Member Organizations may have varying payment guidelines.
U.S. Citizenship is required to qualify for all ACEC Research Institute Scholarships, with the exception of those provided by ACEC California and a/e ProNet. Please refer to individual scholarships for eligibility guidelines.
Students must currently be enrolled in a college or university and pursuing an ABET-accredited Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering (including geomatic engineering/land-surveying).
A letter of recommendation is required from a consulting engineer, land surveyor, engineering professor, supervisor or mentor within the application. Students should notify their recommender in advance. Please advise the recommender that the request will be coming in the form of an email from an ACEC Research Institute AwardSpring email address. Applications will not be considered complete until a recommendation letter has been received. You can check the status of your recommendation letters at any time by logging in to your AwardSpring account, click application, and then Additional Information/ Letter of Recommendation. The status of the request will display pending or complete. Please note, some scholarships may require more than one letter of recommendation.
