Who is eligible - Current high school seniors with Type 1 diabetes planning to enroll in an accredited four-year university, college, technical or trade school in 2019. - Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident. Awards are not determined by financial need. Application rules and recommendations - Apply online. Both required recommendations must be submitted online; applicants cannot finalize and submit their application until both recommender forms have been completed and returned. - There is one application form; applicants will automatically be considered for any scholarship for which they meet the criteria. - The process is highly competitive. The application should be completed by the student, not a parent or guardian. - Deadline: applications must be submitted by midnight Central Standard Time on April 15, 2019. Notifications and disbursement - Awardees will be contacted by telephone only, no later than June 1, 2019.
