Gesa provides scholarship opportunities in four distinct categories:
- Participants in the High School Credit Union Program
- Incoming college freshmen
- Students currently enrolled in college
- Former college students seeking help with student loan repayment
We are now accepting scholarship applications for the academic year 2024-2025. To be eligible, applicants must be members of Gesa. More information on eligibility can be found in our official Scholarship Guide.
All scholarship applications must be submitted by February 28 each year. Please note that incomplete applications will not be taken into consideration.
Each scholarship application package should contain the following elements:
- A fully filled out Gesa Credit Union online scholarship application
- A personal statement that discusses your educational background, the impact of your degree on your career path, your financial needs, your volunteer work, and any other information that the selection committee might find useful
- Official transcripts from your college(s) - this does not apply to Loan Repayment applicants
- A photocopy of your completed degree - this is only required for Loan Repayment applicants
- Two recommendation letters from school officials, current or former employers, professional contacts, mentors, or coaches
