Lou Manzione Scholarship
Scholarship Sponsored by Atlantic Amateur Hockey Association
The Atlantic Amateur Hockey Association (AAHA), the Atlantic Affiliate of USA Hockey, is pleased to offer a scholarship program in memory of Lou Manzione (1944-2003) to students who plan to continue their education beyond high school.
A total of two (2) one thousand dollar ($1,000) non-renewable scholarships are available, one to a New Jersey high school female senior and one to a New Jersey high school male senior who are registered members of USA Hockey and participate on a travel hockey team in the AAHA.
About Lou Manzione
Lou Manzione was a vital part of the AAHA. He was the Vice President for Rules and Regulations for the AAHA for four years and was also the President of the New Jersey Youth Hockey League for over ten years. He had an active high school coaching career at Hudson Catholic High School (1995-1998) and Toms River High School (1998-2003). Lou also coached at the Brick Hockey Club travel program as well as for the USA Hockey Festival Program.
Lou's true passion was coaching the high school player. He hoped to impact player on-ice development and the continuation of the player’s education during and after high school.
Lou is missed by his wife of 33 years, his three children, and the entire hockey community in the AAHA.
