About Bev Good
Bev Good was a highly regarded track official who dedicated his life to mentoring and working with student-athletes. Known not only in his local community but across the Mid-Atlantic region for his work as a meet referee and official, his dedication and pursuit of excellence left a lasting impression on everyone he worked with.
Bev Good Memorial Scholarship — Purpose and Eligibility
The Bev Good Memorial Scholarship, established through the generosity of Debbie and Joe Showker, preserves his legacy. Each high school head coach in Augusta and Rockingham counties, and in the cities of Waynesboro, Staunton, and Harrisonburg, may put forward one track athlete as a nominee. The selection committee evaluates nominees based on character, determination, self-motivation, and demonstrated sportsmanship during competition.
