HAFI Scholarship

Introduction
The High Aspirations Foundation, Inc. (HAFI), in partnership with the Tau Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., is pleased to continue its annual scholarship initiative. This program awards $1,000 scholarships to AFRICAN AMERICAN MALE graduating high school seniors who demonstrate strong academic performance and community leadership.
Who is eligible
To apply for a HAFI scholarship, candidates must meet all of the following conditions:
- Be an AFRICAN AMERICAN MALE and a current high school senior (public, private, charter, or parochial).
- Attend a METRO ATLANTA high school. (Applicants from APS and FCS in the Tau Chapter service area will receive added consideration. Children of Tau Chapter members must apply through the Legacy Program; applicants who are the child of a financial member of the Tau Chapter are not eligible.)
- Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75 on a 4.0 non-weighted scale.
- Plan to enroll full time in an accredited college, university, or vocational/trade school for the 2025–2026 academic year.
Required application materials
All materials must be submitted together and the application must be signed by the applicant and a parent/guardian. The complete application packet must include:
1. Official high school transcript.
2. One letter of recommendation from a teacher, mentor, community leader, or similar reference.
3. A 500-word essay responding to the topic provided in the application.
Deadlines and notification
Complete applications and supporting documents must be received by March 1, 2025 at 11:59 PM EST. Scholarship recipients will be notified and announced by March 30, 2025.
Award
Selected students will receive a $1,000 scholarship to assist with college or vocational school expenses for the 2025–2026 academic year.
