Applicants submit an essay that explains how an auto accident changed their life and documents their path to overcome those challenges. Essays should be truthful, non-fictional, and up to 600 words in length. Submissions are not graded like a standardized test—spelling and punctuation are not the deciding factors, but clear and cohesive writing helps judges evaluate the story. The selection is based on the applicant’s ability to convey the lasting effect of the accident and their personal journey.
Submission: One essay, maximum 600 words; submit via the Google Form.
- 600-word essay focused on life before and after the accident
