Romeo E. Short Foundation Scholarship
Scholarship Sponsored by Arkansas Farm Bureau
Established in 1955, the Romeo E. Short Scholarship Foundation provides funding for agricultural scholarships administered through the Dale Bumpers College of Agriculture, Food and Life Sciences at the University of Arkansas. Students who wish to be considered must submit the online Bumpers College Scholarship application by February 15 of each academic year.
These scholarships support students pursuing careers that promote resilient food and agricultural systems, sustainable environments, healthy families, and thriving communities. The awards are made possible by generous contributions from businesses and private donors. Bumpers College distributes more than $1 million in scholarships each year.
Selection factors typically include academic performance, demonstrated financial need, personal interests, campus or community involvement, and related considerations. Because most awards are granted for a single year, current and incoming undergraduate students in Bumpers College are encouraged to apply annually. ALL applicants who are U.S. citizens are asked to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as early as possible each year.
Announcements:
