Washington State 4-H Scholarships

The Washington State 4-H is delighted to announce the availability of various scholarships for its members. To be eligible, applicants must be active members of the Washington State 4-H with a minimum of two years of membership. However, previous recipients of Washington State 4-H scholarships are not eligible to apply. The applicant should be a high school senior who will be attending an accredited two or four-year college or university in the upcoming fall.
For the sake of fairness and efficient use of resources, all applications must be submitted via 4-H Online by 9:59 PM on March 15. Applications sent via email will not be accepted, and there are no exceptions to this rule. To be considered, applications must be complete, including all five required components.
Applicants are advised to plan ahead to ensure a smooth scholarship application process, as the application system closes automatically. The time it takes to upload the combined application document may vary due to high usage volumes.
All applicants will be considered for all available Washington State 4-H Scholarships, which can be used at any accredited two or four-year college or university.
Requirements for Washington State 4-H Scholarship Applications
- Woody and Joan Bernard 4-H Scholarship– For this $1,000 scholarship, applicants must intend to attend a four-year accredited educational institution or a two-year vocational institution.
- Lewis County 4-H Leaders Scholarships – Three scholarships are available (Two @ $1,000, One @ $500) for applicants planning to attend a two or four-year college. Applicants can be from any county in Washington State.
- O.M. Plummer Memorial Scholarship – A $500 scholarship is available for applicants planning to attend a two or four-year college.
- Thomas R. Quann Scholarship – This $1,000 scholarship is available for current 4-H members planning to attend a two or four-year college.
- Washington State 4-H Foundation Trustees Scholarship – This $1,000 scholarship is available for high school seniors planning to attend a two or four-year college.
- WSU CAHNRS 4-H Scholarship – Two scholarships ($3,000 and $1,500) are available for applicants who have been 4-H Club members for at least two years, demonstrated leadership, and plan to attend the College of Agricultural, Human, and Natural Resource Sciences at Washington State University in their freshman year.
- J. Orville/Helen Young Memorial Scholarship – This $500 scholarship is available for current 4-H members planning to attend a two or four-year college.
- The Washington State 4-H Dairy Endowment offers two $500 scholarships. The Washington State Dairy Endowment Scholarship requires a separate application, due by April 1st. These scholarships are available to current or former 4-H Dairy Project members – one for a high school senior and one for a current college student.
