Doris Karlik Local Scholarships

Equity and equal opportunity for women and girls are central to AAUW’s mission, both nationally and in our branch. Through our branch’s Charitable Foundation, we fund the Doris Karlik Local Scholarships for Palm Beach County women who will begin or are completing their undergraduate educations. We also sponsor a local student to attend AAUW’s annual National Conference of College Women Student Leaders, held in Maryland.
Doris Karlik Local Scholarships for Women
Through our Charitable Foundation, our branch will once again offer Doris Karlik Local Scholarships to women who are residents of Palm Beach County; U.S. citizens by birth or naturalization; and are attending or planning to attend an accredited Florida college, university, or trade school. Since 1999, 59 deserving students have received awards, ranging from $500 to $1,000.
Applicants must have a 3.0 grade point average or higher and submit the completed application form, along with an unofficial college transcript (or high school transcript for high school seniors) and personal statements of career goals and the need for a scholarship
