Overview

The Connex Foundation will award scholarships in 2027 to support individuals pursuing degrees, certificates, or careers in licensed skilled trades, construction, and facility management. Awards are available to eligible applicants in both the United States and Canada. Individual scholarships may be awarded for up to $5,000 each to assist with education-related expenses.

Eligibility

Applicants must meet specific citizenship, academic, and program requirements to be considered. At minimum, applicants should be graduating high school seniors or hold an equivalent credential (GED) and intend to enroll full time in an eligible program. Academic performance must meet a minimum cumulative unweighted GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent Canadian scale). Applicants should also demonstrate involvement in extracurricular activities, community service, or work experience.

Eligibility: U.S. or Canadian citizens/permanent residents; graduating senior or equivalent; full-time enrollment in an eligible program; minimum 2.5 GPA; demonstrated extracurricular, community, or work involvement.

Application Process & Rules

The application must be completed by the applicant; others may only assist or review. Applicants must not be immediate family members of current Connex Foundation employees, scholarship committee members, or board members. Submitted information and supporting materials should be accurate and complete; misrepresentation may result in disqualification. Reviewers and staff will evaluate applications, with contact information hidden from volunteers and instructions to keep applicant information confidential.

Rules for Applying: Complete your own application, avoid conflicts of interest, provide truthful information, and submit required materials by the stated deadline.

Timeline & Notifications

Applications and any additional materials must be submitted by 11:59 PM CT on the February deadline specified by the Foundation. Award decisions are made on a rolling basis, and applicants will be notified of results after May 15, 2027. Communication from the Foundation will be primarily via email; applicants should monitor spam and update contact information if it changes. Award Value & Disbursement

Scholarship awards are up to $5,000 per recipient and will be remitted to the financial aid office of the educational institution where the recipient is enrolled. Funds will be applied to tuition, room and board, books, fees, and other related educational expenses for the enrolled term. Awards are intended for the specified term and may not be used to satisfy unrelated debts or obligations. The Foundation handles disbursement through the institution’s financial aid process.

Award Value: Individual awards up to $5,000, remitted to the recipient’s institution and applied to approved educational expenses.
