The Callahan Law Firm, a personal injury practice based in Houston, Texas, is awarding three scholarships of $1,500 each to help graduating high school seniors pursue higher education in the fall of 2022. We recognize the importance of supporting the next generation and are pleased to contribute to our local community’s future leaders.
Who is eligible:
- Must be a high school senior graduating in spring 2022 and living in the greater Houston region (examples include Spring, Conroe, Texas City, Pasadena, Baytown, Stafford, and other nearby communities).
- Must plan to enroll at a college or university anywhere in the United States for the Fall 2022 semester.
- Must have at least a 2.8 cumulative GPA. Applicants should upload a digital copy of their unofficial transcript as verification.
- Must provide documentation proving first-year student status—such as an acceptance letter or enrollment confirmation.
- Must reside in the United States and have a U.S. mailing address at the time the application is due.
Required application materials:
- Unofficial transcript (digital copy) showing a minimum 2.8 GPA.
- Proof of college acceptance or enrollment demonstrating first-year status.
- The completed essay (see requirements below), uploaded as a PDF.
Essay specifications:
- Length: 1,000 words.
- File format: PDF.
- Formatting: MLA style.
Selection process:
After the application window closes, The Callahan Law Firm will select recipients by evaluating essays on the following criteria: substance of the content, personalization, supporting evidence, writing style, and grammatical/mechanical accuracy.
