Award Value
The scholarship awards one winner a $1,000 grant to assist with education expenses. Selection is competitive and based primarily on the strength and authenticity of the applicant’s essay describing familial influence. The award is intended to provide modest financial support while recognizing a compelling personal story. Only one recipient will be chosen from among all qualified applicants.

Eligibility
The scholarship is open to legal U.S. residents living in any of the 50 states or the District of Columbia. Eligible applicants include current high school seniors, vocational students, undergraduate students, and graduate students enrolled in vocational programs or accredited two- or four-year post-secondary institutions. Applicants must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 and be in good academic standing. Employees of the sponsoring law firm, their immediate family members, and household members are ineligible to apply.
Eligibility: U.S. residents in qualifying educational programs with a minimum 3.0 GPA; exclusions apply to firm employees and their families or household members.

Application Requirements
Applicants must complete the scholarship application form and submit all required materials. Required documents include a 750–1,000 word essay answering how an immediate family member helped shape the applicant, a résumé listing academic and professional experience, and a transcript from the current school. First-year college students, recent transfers, and graduate students may submit an unofficial current transcript plus the most recent official transcript from a prior school. High school applicants must also provide proof of acceptance to their college or university.
Requirements: Complete the application form and provide the essay, résumé, transcript(s), and proof of college acceptance for high school applicants.
