In the early years of the 21st century, Deana Sewell, the founder and CEO of Missing Piece, stepped in to assist a friend whose child had been diagnosed with autism. She successfully persuaded her friend's health insurance provider to reverse their initial decision and provide coverage for the essential ABA therapy services that the child required.
At Missing Piece, we take immense pride in our scholarship program designed for students who are in the midst of pursuing a higher education degree. The fortunate recipient of this scholarship will be granted $1,000, which can be used to offset the costs associated with their degree.
Who is eligible to apply?
Any U.S. citizen who has been accepted to or is currently enrolled in a college or university within the United States is eligible to apply. The selected winner will be asked to provide evidence of their acceptance to their chosen college or university, or a copy of their college transcript.
