Vito Perriello Virginia Citizenship Award
Scholarship Sponsored by Virginia High School League Scholarships
The Virginia High School League (VHSL), in partnership with its corporate sponsors, is proud to offer scholarships for college bound seniors. Through these scholarships, the VHSL is committed to supporting and investing in Virginia’s youth. We encourage parents and students to take advantage of these scholarship opportunities.
Vito Perriello Citizenship Award
Two $1,000 scholarships will be awarded during the school year, honoring student-participants who demonstrate outstanding traits of citizenship in their high school career. Only students graduating from a VHSL member school will be eligible for these awards.
Each VHSL member school may nominate one student. Students must have previously participated in one or more VHSL activities which can include serving as an athletic training student aide (ATSA) with a Virginia licensed athletic trainer within that school to be eligible for the award.
All applications must be submitted to the VHSL office by the member school principal. Applications must be postmarked by March 15. No late applications will be accepted.
A statewide committee representing educators and Sports Medicine Advisory Committee representatives will review all nominations and select the winners. To find out more about the Vito Perriello Citizenship Award, see the application form online.
