The VSCPA Educational Foundation awards $80,000 to students who have completed at least three credit hours in accounting. Both undergraduate and graduate college students are encouraged to apply if they meet the eligibility requirements. See below for eligibility criteria and a full list of scholarships. 2025 applications will open Jan. 1, 2025 and will close at 11:59 p.m., April 1, 2025.
Applicants will be considered for all awards that they are eligible for based on their application. Scholarship awards range from $2,500 to $3,000 and are for the 2025-2026 academic year. Scholarships are paid to the recipient's school in June for the upcoming academic year tuition and fees.
To be considered for any VSCPA scholarship all applicants must:
- Have earned at least three credit hours in accounting as of December 31, 2024.
- Have a minimum GPA of 2.7 or higher.
- Be currently enrolled at an accredited college or university AND enrolled or intend to be enrolled in the Fall 2025 semester to an accredited Virginia college or university with the intent to pursue a CPA license.
- Be a member of the Virginia Society of CPAs, free to students
