Introduction
The Community Foundation provides bursaries for both graduating and returning students — including adult learners — who live in the South Okanagan Similkameen area.

Who is eligible
- Graduates of a high school located within the Regional District of Okanagan–Similkameen (RDOS) either this year or within the past five years; OR
- Individuals who currently have their primary residence inside the RDOS boundaries (students who temporarily live outside the RDOS to attend post‑secondary studies must maintain their primary residence in the RDOS).

2025 Bursary timeline
- March 31, 2025: Bursary cycle opens.
- May 2, 2025: Bursary cycle closes.
- May 3 to June 30, 2025: Applications are reviewed and decisions are made. (All application materials must be submitted by 5:00 PM.)
- Early July 2025: Applicants are notified and award paperwork is issued.
- From July 2025 onward: Award payments are forwarded to institutions or paid directly to recipients.

How to apply
- Applications are completed using our online system. If you cannot apply online, please contact our Grants Administrator at (236) 500‑1243 or [email protected] for assistance.
- Start by clicking the Apply Here button on our website (the button is active only while the application period is open).
- You will be taken to the online application portal and prompted to Log On or Create New Account.
- Returning applicants: sign in with the email and password you used previously. If you’ve forgotten your password, use the “Forgot Your Password?” link.
- New applicants: select Create New Account and follow the on‑screen instructions.
