Our goal through this scholarship is to foster a sense of community responsibility and strengthen the mother-daughter relationship.

This scholarship is to recognize female high school seniors who have gone above and beyond in the service of their community. This may include volunteering many hours for one organization or volunteering for many different organizations. National Charity League (NCL) is a mother-daughter organization that has a strong volunteer service component. We know that not all girls have the opportunity to serve their communities with their mothers, but nonetheless have found ways to volunteer within the community. We would like to recognize amazing young women who have followed their hearts and contributed many hours of service.

Applicants may NOT be a member of the National Charity League, Inc. This is our opportunity to give to other young women that serve in our community. Service work may be done on its own or with school groups, family, or other organizations. Applicants who reside in attendance zones for Green Valley, Basic, Silverado, Foothill, Coronado, Del Sol, Liberty or Desert Oasis High Schools in Clark County, Nevada and who plan to attend an accredited college or university may apply for this scholarship. This scholarship is to recognize female seniors who have gone above and beyond in the service of their community. This might be volunteering many hours for one organization or volunteering for many different organizations. Service work can be done on its own or with school groups, family, or other organizations. A minimum 3.0 GPA and 20 hours of community service is required. Applicants may not be a member of the National Charity League, Inc. One scholarship in the amount of $1,000 will be offered and student must enroll as a full-time college student.

Verification of college enrollment (class schedule) will be required during the summer before check is mailed to the college. Scholarship funds must be applied toward tuition, fees and other appropriate educational expenses. These funds will be disbursed in equal payments over two semesters.
