Essay Requirements
The application requires an original essay of 750 words or fewer that answers the prompt and conveys the applicant’s motivation for a dental career. While specialized technical knowledge is not required, clear and authentic expression of intent is important. Submissions that are poorly edited may be disqualified from consideration.

Submission Process and Timeline
Prepare the essay in Microsoft Word and submit it via email by the stated deadline in December of your junior year. Name the file with your first and last name and the school name (for example: JOHN_SMITH_UNIVERSITY_OF_WASHINGTON.docx). In the body of the email include contact information, the school name, and the name of the degree or education program. The winner will be notified by March 15 following the application deadline.
