Pride Foundation Scholarships
Scholarship Sponsored by Pride Foundation
Scholarship Priorities
Description: We support LGBTQ+ students who demonstrate leadership in their own lives, families, communities, fields of study, workplaces, or movements for justice. Funding prioritizes students with the greatest need and considers their commitment to community well-being, access to support, experiences with systemic barriers, and financial circumstances. These priorities guide funding across all scholarships. Some funds have additional criteria based on a student’s major, background, or location; among applicants who meet those criteria, we prioritize students who also reflect the broader program priorities.
- Demonstrate a commitment to advancing justice and community well-being, now and for future generations.
- Have experienced family rejection or limited access to a broader support system.
- Face systemic barriers to education or have experienced discrimination and oppression, including:
- Black, Indigenous, and other People of Color.
- Trans, non-binary, gender-diverse, gender-nonconforming, and Two Spirit people.
- Immigrants; disabled people and people with disabilities, including people living with chronic illness, HIV, neurodivergence, or mental health challenges; and people over 25 returning to education.
- People living in rural areas, experiencing housing instability or houselessness, or experiencing poverty.
- Demonstrate financial need and lack access to family or other financial support.
