Description

The LAGRANT Foundation undergraduate scholarship includes a career-development trip to Washington, D.C., featuring a welcome dinner with a keynote speaker, three days of professional workshops, and a scholarship and donor recognition reception scheduled for April 25–28, 2027. Recipients are required to participate in the program activities to receive the award and are asked to maintain contact with the Foundation for one year for professional guidance. The scholarship prioritizes rising juniors and seniors and is intended for students pursuing majors in advertising, marketing, or public relations. Selection is competitive and contingent on meeting the documented eligibility and application requirements.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must be current undergraduates (freshmen, sophomores, juniors, or non-graduating seniors) with at least one year remaining to complete their degree after the award date. Eligible applicants must be U.S. citizens, permanent residents, or DACA recipients and enrolled full time (12+ units) at a four-year accredited U.S. institution. Applicants should have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0, although an optional explanatory essay can be submitted if the GPA does not reflect academic capability. Candidates must major in a field emphasizing advertising, marketing, or public relations.

Eligibility: Undergraduates at four-year accredited U.S. institutions who meet citizenship/residency, enrollment, GPA, major, and degree-timing requirements will be considered.

  • U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or DACA recipient

  • Minimum 3.0 GPA (optional explanatory essay accepted if applicable)
  • Major in advertising, marketing, or public relations

Application Materials

Applications must be typed and submitted online as a single, complete submission; piecemeal submissions will not be considered. The application form includes multiple essay components that should be answered on separate pages, plus supporting documents such as a reference letter, resume, unofficial transcripts, and a headshot. If selected as a finalist, applicants must provide official transcripts; incoming freshmen starting in Fall 2027 may submit an acceptance letter in lieu of transcripts. An optional one-page essay may be submitted to explain circumstances if the applicant believes their GPA does not reflect their scholastic capability.

Application Timeline

Applications are accepted online only and must meet strict submission deadlines; late applications will not be accepted. The final submission deadline is the February due date (Presidents’ Day) at 5:00 p.m. PST. Applications submitted by 11:59 p.m. PST on or before Martin Luther King Jr. Day will receive an additional 10 bonus points. Selected applicants must be available to attend the program activities in Washington, D.C., April 25–28, 2027.
