Program Overview
The LAGRANT Foundation undergraduate scholarship includes a scholarship award and an in-person, career-building trip in Washington, D.C., scheduled for April 25–28, 2027. Recipients will take part in professional workshops, a welcome dinner with a keynote speaker, and a scholarship & donor recognition reception. The program focuses on career development in advertising, marketing, and public relations and includes ongoing mentorship for one year. Priority consideration is given to rising juniors and seniors.
Description: Undergraduate recipients will attend a multi-day program in Washington, D.C., that combines networking, skill-building workshops, and donor recognition events. Attendance at the April 2027 activities is required to receive the scholarship.

Eligibility
The scholarship is open to current undergraduates only (freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and non-graduating seniors) who meet academic and enrollment requirements. Applicants must be U.S. citizens, permanent residents, or DACA recipients and enrolled full-time at a four-year accredited U.S. institution. Applicants must be majoring in a field emphasizing advertising, marketing, or public relations and have at least one year remaining to complete their degree as of April 2027. A minimum 3.0 GPA is required; exceptions or explanations for lower GPAs may be submitted as an optional essay.
Eligibility: Applicants must meet citizenship/residency, enrollment status, GPA, major, and degree-completion timeline requirements and be available to attend the April 2027 activities.

Award Value
The scholarship award amount is $2,500. Payment is contingent on recipient participation in the required April 2027 program activities. Recipients must commit to maintaining contact with The LAGRANT Foundation for one year to receive ongoing professional guidance and academic support. Failure to attend the required events will disqualify the applicant from receiving the award.

Application Requirements
Applications must be submitted online as a single, typed submission; piecemeal or handwritten materials will not be accepted. Required components include several essays, a reference letter, resume, transcripts (unofficial for application; official if selected as finalist), and a headshot. Optional: a one-page essay explaining a GPA discrepancy if you believe your GPA does not reflect your academic ability. Finalists must provide official transcripts, and incoming freshmen for Fall 2027 may submit an acceptance letter in lieu of transcripts.
Application Checklist: A typed application including the form, required essays on separate pages, one signed reference letter on official letterhead, current resume, unofficial transcripts (or acceptance letter for incoming freshmen), and a headshot.

Application Timeline & Deadlines
Applications must be submitted online by the stated deadlines and will not be accepted after the final submission time. The final deadline is 5:00 p.m. PST on the February due date (Presidents’ Day); late submissions will be disqualified. Applications submitted by 11:59 p.m. PST on or before the January due date (MLK Day) receive an additional 10 bonus points. Ensure all materials are uploaded together as a single submission to be considered.
Application Timeline: Submit the complete online application by 5:00 p.m. PST on the February deadline; earlier submission by the January deadline earns bonus points.
