Pocono Foundation Nursing Scholarships

Overview
Three scholarships will be awarded to nursing students who demonstrate exceptional academic achievement:
- Jennie Cramer Memorial Scholarship
- Robert A. Gordon Memorial Scholarship
- R. Dale Hughes Scholarship
Application deadline
All application materials must be received by March 15, 2025.
Who is eligible
Applicants must meet all of the following:
- Be enrolled in an accredited nursing program and be in the final two years of study.
- Rank within the top 20% of their class and hold a cumulative GPA of at least 3.2 on a 4.0 scale.
- Live within the LVH‑Pocono service area (Monroe, Pike, northern Northampton, or northwest Warren Counties). Note: the R. Dale Hughes Scholarship is restricted to residents of Monroe County only.
- Either currently work as a nurse for LVH‑Pocono or intend to seek nursing employment with LVH‑Pocono after graduation.
- Include documentation verifying current academic standing with the application.
Selection and award details
- Applications must be submitted and received by March 15, 2025.
- The LVHN‑Pocono Foundation Scholarship Committee will notify selected recipients by May 1, 2025.
- Award funds will be issued by mailed check.
- Recipients are expected to write and send a thank-you letter to the scholarship sponsor(s) and attend the Annual Grant & Scholarship Award Ceremony at LVH‑Pocono on Wednesday, May 14, 2025.
