The PAVE student aid program supports students around the world, studying retail design, interior design, architecture, visual merchandising, industrial design, UX/UI design, graphic design, product design, and other similar programs preparing students for careers related to the creation of consumer environments who are experiencing financial difficulties.
The intent is to provide for basic needs such as food, housing, books, tuition, health insurance, medical bills, utilities, transportation, etc.
APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
The following items must be included in your application for your request to be considered:
- Letter of Explanation (500 words max): A letter explaining the reason for the request. Must show a compelling need for this special aid, with a detailed explanation of your situation and anticipated use of the funds.
- Work Sample (1-2 pages max): Highlights of your most recent design work. Must be individual work, cannot be a group project.
- One Professional Reference: We will need the phone number and email address of your reference. Can be a professor, faculty member, or an employer (including internship supervisors). References CANNOT be friends or family members.
- A copy of your current transcript (Official or Unofficial).
Both merit and need-based criteria will be used when making awards. The applicant's GPA and level of need will be considered.
ELIGIBILITY GUIDELINES
- Student must be enrolled in a program working toward a degree related to the design and creation of consumer environments. (i.e. Visual Merchandising, Interior Design, Architecture, Industrial Design, Graphic Design, UX/UI Design and other similar programs)
- Student must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or better based on a 4.0 GPA scale.
- Student must be a full-time student, enrolled in at least 12 credit hours.
- $1,000 USD per student will be awarded.
