Overview
The Fall 2026 scholarship window is open for awards that will apply to the Spring 2027 semester. CAPTRUST funds this program to support local communities and help developing professionals prepare for future success. Five recipients will be selected from across the country through a competitive review of submitted materials. Eligibility and submission rules are defined below.
Award Value: Five students will receive $2,000 each.
Application Timeline: The application window opens Fall 2026; awards are designated for Spring 2027 enrollment.

Essay Submission
Applicants must provide responses to four specified prompts as part of their submission. Each response must be 200 words or less; the combined submission may be up to 800 words total. Responses that exceed the 200-word limit for any single prompt will be disqualified. Submit clear, focused answers that directly address each prompt.
Personal Goals: Describe your personality, interests, values, and personal passions. Paint a clear picture of what motivates you and the goals you pursue.
Accomplishments: Summarize notable achievements from personal, academic, professional, athletic, or advocacy experiences. Highlight achievements that illustrate dedication and impact.
Career Goals: Explain your educational and career objectives and how your chosen major or educational path will help you reach them.
Community Impact: Describe involvement in your local communities—school, work, religious, or other organizations—and the positive impact you have made.

Eligibility
The scholarship is open to students at the undergraduate level who meet the academic criteria and enrollment requirements. Eligible applicants include incoming freshmen through seniors who are actively enrolled or planning to enroll in an undergraduate degree program. Applicants must maintain a strong academic record as specified in the GPA requirement. Application reviewers will confirm enrollment status and GPA during selection.
GPA Requirement: Applicants must have a current unweighted GPA of 3.7 or higher and be actively pursuing an undergraduate degree.
